I’m politically active and really want someone who aligns with my progressive/liberal ideals. In this time in history, it would be hard for me to be with anyone who identified otherwise. In addition, it is important that this person embraces some form of spirituality – not organized religion per se but believes in the power of the Universe and concepts like manifesting, intuition, and soul connections as I enjoy exploring these notions.
Emotionally Intelligent
I am a pretty deep, introspective person and love to have conversations of substance. So, being with someone who is in touch with their emotions, past history, and personality quirks is important to me. I strive for a drama-free life and am looking for someone who is securely attached and has “done the work” or is actively doing it. I engage in continued self-improvement through learning, self-reflection, and interpersonal activities and am looking for someone who is committed to doing so as well.
Active and Health-Conscious
I am athletic, love doing outdoor adventures, and just plain thrive on living an active life. There is no sport I won’t play (although I’m fairly marginal at bowling) and hardly a mountain I won’t hike. I am committed to living a healthy lifestyle by eating well and taking care of my physical health. I’m looking for someone who also lives a healthy lifestyle, is active in whatever way brings them joy, and who doesn’t smoke, use substances, or is a heavy drinker.
Engaging
In addition to being able to productively talk about emotions and feelings, I am looking for someone who likes to engage in thoughtful and informed conversation about current events, politics, and the curiosities of the world. She is open to learning new ideas and can disagree with grace, validate alternative opinions, and engage in meaningful conversations.
Adventurous
I love going to new places, learning new ideas, and meeting interesting people. I’m looking for someone who is adventurous, loves to travel, and wants to learn new things (about herself and the world) so we can experience adventures together!
Positive
I want someone who has a positive outlook, is funny, and can laugh at life’s absurdities (and my punny jokes). She is not sarcastic/cynical in a way that insults people. Instead, her words are kind and loving, and she sees the good in others.
Professionally Grounded
I have found my career calling, and love what I do every day. I want to be with someone who is professionally driven or at least excited about the work she does. While money isn’t important, having enough to live comfortably (not worry about bills, be able to do some traveling, and do fun things) is essential.
Sociable
I love connecting with others. I have a lot of important relationships in my life, with both friends and family members. I am looking to be with someone who also values connection with others and enjoys socializing.
A Go-Getter
I would like to meet someone who is dedicated, loyal, honest, and responsible, with great follow-through. She doesn’t wait for others to always take the lead. She is an initiator in life and makes things happen!
